Follow our step-by-step instructions, and you’ll be up and scanning in just a few minutes.
Before you begin, make sure you have your welcome e-mail with your access code (password) ready.

Getting started

In your welcome e-mail, you’ll find the link to my.scanway.eu along with your login password.

1. Log in

Go to my.scanway.eu and log in using the password provided.

2. Download the app

Once logged in, scroll to the bottom of your dashboard. Here you’ll find the download link for the ScanWay application.

3. Install the app

After downloading, open the installer and follow the steps.

4. Enter your license key

During installation, you’ll be asked for a license.

  • Go to the Licenses section in my.scanway.eu.
  • Choose one of the unused licenses.
  • Copy and paste the license key into the field in the installer and continue.

    5. Repeat for each PC

Repeat this process on every computer in the clinic that needs access, using one license per PC.

Setting up the scanner

1. Connect the scanner

Plug the scanner into your PC using the included USB cable.

2. Scan the configuration barcodes

Scan the barcodes provided below this section one by one, starting from the top and working your way down.

  • Be sure to scan each barcode only once, in the correct order.
  • If you’re unsure whether you scanned correctly, simply start over from the top — it’s safe to re-scan them

Choosing the correct COM port

1. Open the Scanway app from the system tray

  • In the bottom-right corner of your PC screen (system tray), find the ScanWay icon (a blue and white location symbol).
  • Right-click the icon to open the menu.

    2. Select the COM port

  • Click on the comport you see in the list
  • Start by choosing the last COM port in the list. You may se other numbers than shown to the right.

3. Test the scanner

  • Scan a product barcode.
  • If the scan shows up correctly in the software, the connection is successful.

    4. Troubleshooting

  • If nothing happens, go back to the system tray and try the next COM port in the list.
  • Repeat this process until the correct port is found — the one the scanner is connected to.
